Well, for those who handle Multi-Language Sites:
This Plugin detects the Language set in the Browser-Settings and chooses this language if available in the TYPO3 Site.
The Plugin’s Extensionkey is rlmplanguagedetection
All you have to do, is to add this Code to your setup:
plugin.tx_rlmplanguagedetection_pi1 { # insert your default lang here defaultLang = en }
I wrote a little manual how to hide fields in the backend normally not needed by the editor of a page. This makes it easy to clean up the backend.
You can read it here in my wiki
My first chapter is done! In this i show how to create an FCE using TemplaVoila which creates a ContentElement. This CE is an image with text on it, linked to a page and is wrapped with an alt-Tag for the image. The editor simply chooses an imaged, choose a link and enter a Text which is used on the image and also is used as an alt-Tag for the image.
This TS i think is very useful if you want to have an individual picture on every page. The page-title is used as a Title or Alttag for the image and is displayed on the picture. This, sure can be changed. This TS loads the picture if it is placed in the resources of the (advanced) page in the page-properties. If no picture is found, the TS looks into the parent-page if it finds a picture there. This is called a slide and it slides as long as it finds a “mother-Page” with image placed in the resources of a page.
In the end, you only have to place a picture in the rootpage of your site and then the image inherits until there is a picture given to a page. Read the rest of this entry »
Here, i place you parts of my Config-Setup i use in my TYPO3-Sites. It should have most of the needed parts.
By the way: Denyerec known from the IRC Channel wants to make some videotutorials using TV. You find the projectpage here : TemplaVoila/VideoTutorial

Feel free to add your content. If you want to help me, just hit me a message! I would be glad if someone helps me building up this project!
Hi, my name is randomresult and this my typo3-blog. I know, there are a lot of blogs about TYPO3 but as one meaning of a blog is to be part of a network, i think there nearly cant be enough blogs in the community.
As mentioned on my site, i want to create kind of an opensource book about TYPO3 to make it easy to learn TYPO3 and to understand the system better.
I am working with TYPO3 since 2003 now and i realized, that everytime i teach someone in TYPO3, i am too learning a lot about the system. So the more i teach and tell about the system, there more i get into it. Sometimes very easy questions make me think about a problem and then i again and again find a very easy solution and explaination to tell. So i too hope to learn more from teaching.
As this should be an opensource – book or an open-source-Page – means everyone can or should be part of it – feel free to post comments, questions, ideas or what ever. I will be glad about every help i can get!
If you are new to TYPO3 feel free to ask every question. No question can be a stupid one!
